From losing materials to not having enough space for storage on my old cart, I felt like I spent too much time managing materials rather than preparing to teach students. I was over the moon when generous donors like you contributed to my dream of having an organized STEAM cart that could accommodate all elementary levels and needs. Once the project was fully funded, I ran into another issue - the company that I was going to order from was unable to fulfill my order. Fortunately, I was able to find another, which was a huge plus because it was less expensive! \r\n\r\nWith the additional funding, I was able to purchase a diverse selection of STEM toys for my youngest students in K1 and K2 and my students with disabilities who need safer toys. Doing engineering can be challenging for all these students because they are developing fine motor skills at a young age or they may have limited mobility due to their disabilities. Your donation to this project not only helped me to support students in bringing them the materials they need in an organized way, but it also brought great joy to to everyone who was able to play with these new toys. From magnetic tiles to Clixo, students have been highly engaged in exploring engineering concepts because of these new tools. No matter the grade level, students were excited to play - an important part of their engineering learning experience. \r\n\r\nStudents were also excited when they were introduced to the new STEAM cart - they loved the colorful bins, the way they would easily find what they needed, and that everyone could reach all of the bins. I am going to have students create labels for my bins to help them feel more connected to the materials and take ownership of taking care of it together as a school.","fullyFundedDate":1758220428298,"projectUrl":"project/steam-on-wheels/9492774/","projectTitle":"S.T.E.A.M. on Wheels","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lau","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4765192_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y564&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1613401347096","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/marnlau"},{"teacherId":2627844,"projectId":9793880,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our K2 classroom! First we have a calm down corner. This is a cozy area where kids can take a break and reset their bodies. Often kids go there when they are tired or feeling overwhelmed.
