We are beyond grateful! Our classroom is filled with curious minds and eager readers, and now our books have a sturdy, beautiful home. Instead of being scattered across tables and corners, every story has its place, making it easier for students to find books that spark their imagination.\r\n\r\nThis organization has also made a meaningful difference in our daily instruction. I am now able to quickly pull the perfect book during a teachable moment—whether we are discussing character traits, practicing a phonics skill, or making text connections. Having our library organized allows learning to happen naturally and immediately, right when curiosity strikes.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students who have limited access to books outside of school, our classroom library is truly a lifeline. Your support has helped create a warm, inviting space where students can explore new worlds, share stories with friends, and grow their love of reading. What may seem like a simple bookshelf is, for our students, a doorway to endless adventures and lifelong learning. Recently, we used cameras to shoot botanical gardens. The middle school students were able to draw and paint using the printed photos as reference.\r\nHaving large prints rather than small digital images on their laptops has allowed the students to draw using realistic proportions. Photo prints used as visual aids have enhanced my students abilities to really study an image and draw life- like illustrations of the images.\r\nThe high quality of this Canon printer allows for beautiful prints that my students can be proud to display at our end of year Visual Art show this coming April.\r\nThank you again from all of the students at PS #17 in Jersey City, NJ.","fullyFundedDate":1760705304679,"projectUrl":"project/picture-this-part-two/9658222/","projectTitle":"Picture This: Part Two","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Irizarry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8932417_orig.jpg?crop=768,768,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697635502091","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8932417"},{"teacherId":450707,"projectId":9654772,"letterContent":"First and foremost, thank you so much for your generosity. The incentives also were great because with all the stress we face it helped to have a stress ball to help us relax. Now, thanks to you, my students will soon be diving into the past using the new primary source books you've provided, and then transitioning that knowledge into action. The podcast equipment is the key that unlocks the entire experience—it will allow them to work in small groups to craft, record, edit, and produce their very own compelling history podcast episodes.\r\n\r\nThis is more than just a media project; it's a profound learning experience.
