My TK students are an energetic bunch and these materials are helping them get their energy out while developing their gross motor skills and social-emotional skills. We have been able to share these equipment with two other classes, so three separate TK classes have been enjoying these materials. \r\n\r\nThe TKers have been excited about playing with everything! Every time we put out a new equipment, there is a line of kids who want to try it out. These equipment not only builds gross motor skills but also social-emotional skills. We've set up a bowling alley for them, and it has taught them not only coordination and cause-and-effect, but also how to wait in line, cooperate to set up the pins, and take turns. With the ring catchers, they have been building their hand-eye coordination while also using them to learn math concepts like counting and dividing to share the rings. The playground balls are out on a daily basis and the TKers invent their own games in addition to playing soccer with the goal nets that were purchased. We've also set up various obstacle courses in the past few months to add more directed skill building. They are exercising and building skills without even knowing it.\r\n\r\nThese equipment have made our recess time much more engaging, focused, and exciting for our students! It has made an impact on multiple TK classes and will also benefit classes for years to come. My TK students LOVE the sensory table and use it every day. With the materials, I have been able to change out the theme each month. So far, we have had a hot chocolate station, an arctic forest, a Valentine's theme, St. Patrick's pots of gold, and a spring garden. There will be more to come this year and the following years!\r\n\r\nMy TK students love the different themes every month. Every time we switch out the materials, the students are eager to see what it is inside (and some even try to peek!). Sometimes it is so popular we even have to start a waiting list (which also means I can sneak in some name-writing practice)! The materials you funded help keep the sensory table fresh and exciting every month. \r\n\r\nThis sensory table has helped my students develop many skills, including their fine motor skills when they grip small objects, their social interaction skills when they have to share, and their creativity when they invent scenarios and games with the materials. It has also helped some of my students regulate their emotions, as it is a calming center for some. \r\n\r\nI am so grateful for the materials that we received. They provide a fun learning experience for my students daily, and this would not have happened without your generosity. You provided our classroom with organizers like marker holders, crayon holders, and art supply trays, as well as art supplies like dot markers, tempera paint, and cardstock. With these supplies, our students were able to unleash their creativity and do many art projects.\r\n\r\nThe art supplies have created a lot of excitement in my classroom around art and writing. Prior to having these supplies, my students did not have access to markers as I did not have a way to organize and keep the markers wet. When my students first saw the markers in the marker holders, they could not wait to get their hands on them! Many students chose to do drawing during their free choice play time that first day. The writing center has continued to be a favorite for many children as a result of having these markers. \r\n\r\nWe have also been able to complete many class art projects with the supplies, such as finger painting the four seasons or dabbing paint onto hearts for Valentine's. We have been able to add more art into the program as a direct result of your contribution.
