I am hoping for tables to offer students more freedom of choice in their seating. I have seen that when students take control of their learning, they thrive. Flexible seating is valuable because it gives students a choice in their learning. During independent work times, students will choose a location in the classroom that works for them. My plan is to have several seating options available. Making sure students are comfortable will ultimately increase their engagement. When students are engaged, naturally, more learning will take place. These tables are just the beginning of creating a collaborate, freedom of choice learning space for my students. I am excited to see the impact this change will have on my students' learning!
