Short, chunky writing implements (like the ones you funded) require a student to hold the implement closer to the page, which provides more motor control. \r\n\r\nThe improvements I will describe here may sound small, but I can assure you they are monumental for us.\r\n\r\nStudent #1: Before your donation, he couldn't apply adequate pressure to make marks on the paper. Now, with his slant board and shortened markers, he makes confident circles on his morning worksheets and even has a signature color (Raspberry)!\r\n\r\nStudent #2: This student would only write by placing his hand over mine, while I held and moved a tall marker. Now... he is WRITING HIS FIRST NAME INDEPENDENTLY. He, his family, and I are all just blown away by his confidence!\r\n\r\nStudent #3: This student often gets overwhelmed in the classroom and had been screaming/running around to regulate.
