I can't tell you how many times I was thankful for those paper towels and Clorox wipes. I had absolutely no stress about my students enjoying the food, especially since we don't have a sink.\r\n\r\n​Oh my goodness! The Bristlebots and Solar Bugs! A teacher's favorite moment is when a student is so focused, and then their mind goes \"Ah-ha!\" My scholars were so ecstatic to tackle both STEM projects. While analyzing how to put the bristlebot together, one student yelled, \"Ms. Curtis, I felt something move!\" Soon after that, most of the kids experienced the same. The solar bugs tested their patience while outside on the blacktop lol. I encouraged them to be engineers and solve their problem, especially since a handfull of students were able to get their bugs to move. The class begin asking other students questions, and all you can see is an outdoor lab of trial and error with unexpected teamwork. It's one thing to talk about circuits, but it's another thing to see a bug you built start buzzing across the ground, especially after failing a few times.
