I want to have an engaging classroom library and literacy program in my classroom. My desire is for my students to see themselves in these books and to become empowered. With a rich classroom library, I believe the student's desire to read will begin to grow. I want for them to be eager and excited to pick up books. With class sets, I can begin to have small, engaging, and relevant reading groups that will help my students to connect take ownership over their education. I want to empower my students to be able to do anything they want to in life and it begins with connecting to their education.
