My class and I were very excited to find out it was funded. We love everything having to do with reading!\r\n\r\nThey love the new front facing book boxes. It helps them easily see the front covers of picture books, and it makes booking shopping time go by quickly. The bookmarks were a huge hit! They love looking through them all to find just the right one. And we have so many now, they can use more than one at a time. The headphones were a much needed item. We have students who flex group into our classroom, and having extra pairs helps with the transition time. \r\n\r\nThanks again for helping us be successful with our reading time in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1757710841807,"projectUrl":"project/independent-reading-fun/9664505/","projectTitle":"Independent Reading Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McGann","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2352981_orig.jpg?crop=385,385,x0,y190&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1563344909122","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kmcgann"},{"teacherId":2552453,"projectId":9439078,"letterContent":"I wanted to extend my deepest thanks to you for your generous contribution to our classroom. Because of your support, our students now have access to an incredible variety of sensory table items and activities—and the impact has already been powerful.\r\n\r\nThe moment the new sensory materials arrived, the excitement in the room was incredible. Students gathered around the sensory table with wide eyes and eager hands, absolutely thrilled by the textures, colors, and tools they had never seen before. For many of my students, sensory play is not just fun—it's essential for their development. These materials have opened up new avenues for learning, calming, and exploring the world around them.\r\n\r\nOne moment that really stood out was during our Animals Unit. We used the new sensory bins, scoops, and textured items to create a \"Fall Forest\" sensory experience. Students dug through leaves and acorns, matched colors and textures, and even practiced their fine motor skills by using tweezers to pick out small forest animals. A student who usually struggles with transitions and engagement was completely focused and calm during the entire activity. It was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful these tools are.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're using the sensory table as part of a larger thematic approach to learning. Our next unit is about community workers where students will explore items that represent members of our community—the tools they use, jobs they do, and vehicles they drive. This will allow them to build their knowledge about the world around them while continuing to engage their senses in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our classroom and in the power of hands-on, sensory-rich learning. Your donation has truly made a difference in the lives of these children, and we are so grateful for the light you've brought into our space.","fullyFundedDate":1757992899030,"projectUrl":"project/light-and-sensory-table-tools-for-self-c/9439078/","projectTitle":"Light and Sensory Table Tools for Self-Contained Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2552453_orig.jpg?crop=1121,1121,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1625716775842","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/teachandcoach14"},{"teacherId":2352981,"projectId":9461507,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with your donation to this project.
