As an educator I need to adapt to the needs of my students year after year. Gone are the days of students sitting still in their desk for seven hours a day. I love giving my students a choice of where they would like to sit in the classroom, as well as allowing them to move around throughout the day. Classrooms should not look the same today as they did 50 years ago. Children now are growing up in an ever-changing world full of choices. Why not give them choice in their learning as well? The bean bag chairs, stability balls, and stools will allow students to choose where they would like to sit during independent work time. By allowing students to move around the classroom I believe it will increase engagement and motivation, as well as allow the students to interact with many different peers throughout the day. I also believe this flexible seating will inspire students and make learning more fun!
