They are also managing environmental controls using the thermostat controllers and specialized UVA/UVB lighting, learning how temperature regulation and enrichment directly affect animal health. Having hospital-grade sanitation supplies allows them to practice actual infection control and sterilization protocols just like working veterinary staff.\r\nOur next step is to begin long-term health tracking projects for our resident animals. Students will construct detailed growth curves, track habitat environmental metrics, and present their husbandry findings to their peers.
