If you were to play kickball in P.E. class and every time you went to kick the ball you would miss, I am pretty sure that you would hate to play kickball. Similarly, many of my students have come to the point that they have tried and tried to solve math problems, yet always seem to miss the mark. It is due to these past failures that many of my students get frustrated and never quite reach their potential in mathematics. The majority of my classes are made up of low-income students. However, just because they don't have money doesn't mean they lack ambition. Many of my students are striving to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, etc. and are willing to work as hard as necessary to fulfill their goals. Our school is a a Title 1 School which strives to provide each and every student with an equal opportunity to learn. However, due to many budget constraints our school is not able to provide each classroom with a small set of computers.
