One memorable moment was watching my students eagerly participate in a digital reading lesson. With their headphones on, they were fully engaged and able to focus on the story and activities without distractions, helping them build both confidence and independence as learners.\r\n\r\nWhen the headphones first arrived, my students were incredibly excited. They could hardly wait to try them out and immediately began talking about how they felt like \"big kids\" using their own learning tools. The headphones made technology-based lessons feel special and important. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded me how meaningful new resources can be in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our learning journey, the headphones will play a key role in supporting our literacy and language development goals. Students will use them during small-group rotations to listen to books, practice letter sounds, and strengthen comprehension skills. We are also beginning projects that encourage students to respond to stories through drawing, writing, and discussion. Thanks to your generosity, my students have the tools they need to access these learning opportunities and continue growing as confident, capable learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our classroom and helping create meaningful learning experiences for our students!","fullyFundedDate":1772509737707,"projectUrl":"project/hear-every-word-headphones-for-every-le/9986723/","projectTitle":"Hear Every Word: Headphones for Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gladys Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9082261_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722373455396","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9082261"},{"teacherId":9870997,"projectId":9215933,"letterContent":"The donated snacks made a huge impact on my students. Seeing their excitement and appreciation was truly heartwarming. These snacks have also been especially helpful for students who arrive late to school and miss breakfast. Having snacks available has allowed me to make sure those students still have something to eat so they can focus, participate, and feel comfortable throughout the school day. One thing that has been especially meaningful is how many students choose to stay in during recess just to help clean our classroom. They love helping disinfect tables, wipe down shared materials, and even use the vacuum to clean the carpet and other areas of the classroom. It has become a special way for them to show pride and responsibility for our shared learning space. One specific moment that stood out was after a hands-on science and planting activity. Students worked together to quickly sanitize tables, sweep up soil, and vacuum the carpet so our classroom was clean and ready for the next lesson. It was wonderful to see them work as a team and take ownership of caring for our classroom.\r\n\r\n\r\nMy students were very excited and thankful when they saw the new cleaning supplies arrive. Many of them immediately asked if they could help organize the materials and were eager to put them to use. They felt proud knowing we had the tools needed to keep our classroom clean and safe. Several students even commented that the classroom felt fresher and looked nicer after we used the supplies together. Their excitement showed how much they value having a clean, welcoming space to learn in.\r\n\r\n\r\nOur next steps are continuing hands-on learning activities that require students to collaborate, create, and explore while also learning responsibility for their environment. We are currently working on plant research and opinion writing projects where students are learning what plants need to survive and writing about ways to protect them. The donated cleaning supplies will continue supporting these projects by helping us safely manage messy activities, shared classroom tools, and daily cleanup routines. Having these resources allows students to focus more on learning while also building responsibility, teamwork, and pride in taking care of their classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1746785960526,"projectUrl":"project/class-class-its-time-to-clean-up/9214979/","projectTitle":"Class, Class! Even though they may not fully understand how much these donations help, I can truly see the gratitude on their little faces every day. They have also done an amazing job taking care of the materials and treating them with respect.\r\nArt has become one of our main focuses on Fridays, and the students have absolutely been loving it. Thanks to the donated supplies, I now have a variety of tools and materials to use during our Free Choice Fridays, which has made learning more creative, engaging, and exciting for students. One of our favorite projects was a wild and endangered animals project where students used YouTube and classroom resources to research and learn how to draw their chosen animal. They then created posters using the wide variety of art supplies that were donated. The students were so proud of their work, and it gave them the opportunity to combine research, creativity, writing, and art all in one activity.\r\nI have also been able to use educational games, like the Pop game, during intervention groups, and the students have so much fun while learning. I have been able to incorporate new skills and creative activities that promote physical fitness in a fun and dynamic way. The students are getting a great deal of exercise while using the scooters, particularly benefiting from cardio and lower body workouts. Because they are having so much fun, they often don't even realize how much physical activity they are doing during these sessions.\r\n\r\nOne of the most popular games we play is called \"Hospital.\" In this activity, the scooters are used as ambulances. When a student is 'out,' they sit and wait to be picked up by an 'ambulance driver' who carefully pulls them to the designated hospital area.
