Kids Need Them to Thrive\" project has made a meaningful difference in our ESL classroom. Many of my students are English learners who need extra listening and speaking practice to build confidence in English. The headphones allow them to fully participate in language-learning activities, online lessons, and ACCESS test practice without distractions. They can clearly hear pronunciation, conversations, and instructions, which helps improve both their comprehension and speaking skills.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is that they now feel more independent and engaged during technology-based activities. They love being able to work at their own pace and repeat audio as many times as needed. For many of them, this reduces anxiety and helps them feel successful in class.\r\n\r\nSome of my quieter students, especially those who are still developing confidence in English, have benefited the most. With the headphones, they are more willing to participate in listening and speaking activities because they can focus better and practice privately. I have noticed students becoming more motivated, attentive, and confident when using the technology.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our students and helping create a learning environment where they can thrive academically and grow in confidence every day.","fullyFundedDate":1772305033340,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-to-practice-for-access-kids/10113000/","projectTitle":"Headphones to Practice for ACCESS! Students are designing their own countries- deciding on core values, government systems, and laws- and using the books to create a guide that explains and promotes their new nation. The books help turn abstract ideas into something creative and concrete, and students are really engaged in the process. This is a final project for our Power unit, which focuses on the structures, powers, and responsibilities of the United States government.\r\n\r\nStudents were curious and interested when they first received the blank books. Several immediately started sketching cover ideas or planning how they'd organize their content. Having a physical book to work with made the project feel more real, and it motivated many to think more creatively and take greater ownership of their work. It was enriching to see students' collaborative creativity. \r\n\r\nAs students complete their books, I plan to display them in our school's media center so their peers can explore the creative governments they've designed. This gives students a chance to share their work with a wider audience and take pride in what they've created. Thanks to your support, their learning now has a real-world platform and purpose.","fullyFundedDate":1742588751456,"projectUrl":"project/civic-literacy-childrens-book-project/9110042/","projectTitle":"Civic Literacy Children's Book Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Webb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9921969"},{"teacherId":9220565,"projectId":9197003,"letterContent":"Thank you immensely for your generous support of our \"Building Molecular Connections: Hands-On Chemistry Learning\" project.
