My students have autism and most of them will not be able to attend College or go off to trade school. As a matter of fact, many of them will live at home or in group homes. This project would enlist the help of another Exceptional Children's Educator and their class. The goal of this coffee bar is to help our students gain a life skill that may offer them some sense of independence and possibly translate into some type of employment after High School. We will create a google form for the teachers and administrators of the school to choose the coffee and creamer they would like and we would have some students delivering coffee to the classroom. We will also have a dedicated area in the school where other staff can locate us and order their coffee on the spot. We would charge a dollar a cup and maybe add snacks to the menu later on after the bar is established. This project will teach them the value of money and the exchange of money for products. We would set up a cashapp and a bank account dedicated solely to the coffee bar. All proceeds from the coffee bar will go right back into the coffee bar to get the bar supplied.
