Additionally, an after school club of third graders were able to use the flexible seating items. The impact was over 100 students! \r\n\r\nThese seats gave students a cozy place to lay in the classroom library and read. The soft seats also made students more likely to want to come up to the \"carpet area\" of the classroom for instruction. 5th graders typically prefer to sit in their seats, even if they can't see. The novel classroom seating paired with an opportunity to use clipboards was tempting to many students. \r\n\r\nI appreciate your help in being able to bring back a little bit of fun and coziness in for these students last year of elementary school.","fullyFundedDate":1700262708407,"projectUrl":"project/items-for-flexible-seating/8032026/","projectTitle":"Items for Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Delgado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/delgadoart"},{"teacherId":1071117,"projectId":10072503,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for selecting our project for your generous donations. While it sounds like a simple request, this label maker and scanner have helped us so much in our day to day tasks throughout the library.\r\nWe received supplies for this project just as we were starting our inventory for the year and it came in so handy! We were able to use the scanner to move around the library and not have to unplug our main computer scanner each time we tried to squeeze in inventory shelves and saved a lot of plugging and unplugging!\r\nThe label maker has been great for a quick label reprint without getting a full page into the printer and hoping it was facing the right direction and not need a reprint, hahaha! Every little bit of help that we get allows us to take care of the \"extra\" ideas we have, but some of these also help us do the base minimum. This project gave us both. The label maker has helped us be able to create labels as needed and not have to make a running list or put the same label sheet through the printer again and again to print one label at a time. It's so convenient and has really helped my paper stacks of reminders to be cleaned up!\r\nWhile the basic label supplies are great, the button machine is so much fun. I love being able to recycle some of our older books and using pictures from the removed pages to make buttons for students to show off their favorite book characters. The crayons, markers, and glue sticks you provided have already become staples of our creative time, allowing students to express themselves through art, practice fine motor skills, and build confidence in their everyday abilities. The printer paper and sticky notes have helped us stay organized and prepared. \r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your donation has had a powerful impact on the overall environment and well-being of our classroom. The disinfecting wipes you included are especially appreciated, as they help us maintain a clean and healthy space where students can feel safe and comfortable every day. Additionally, the snacks you provided have brought so much joy to our students. For many children, snack time is not just a break, but an important moment to recharge, connect with classmates, and feel cared for. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity has shown our students the power of kindness and community.
