The notebooks quickly became a tool for exploration, and right now, they are using them to research Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This project has sparked thoughtful discussions about opportunities after high school and allowed students to take ownership of their learning by documenting and sharing what they discover.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the games have become a favorite during our meetings. They give students a fun, positive outlet to build connections, laugh together, and feel more comfortable in our space. It has been amazing to watch them engage not only with the academics but also with each other in ways that strengthen our classroom community.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they lit up. Many expressed excitement about having tools that were \"just for them\" and supportive of their identity and experiences. That reaction confirmed for me how important these resources are in making Black students feel seen, valued, and welcome on campus.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue weaving these tools into projects that affirm our students and help them envision their futures. From researching HBCUs to exploring career paths, we will use these materials to guide learning experiences that foster both knowledge and confidence.
