Your support in helping us purchase colored ink truly makes a meaningful difference in our students' daily learning experience. While it may seem like a small supply, having access to colored ink opens up a world of possibilities for both teaching and learning.\r\n\r\nIn a first grade classroom, visuals are incredibly important. Young learners rely on bright, engaging materials to help them understand new concepts, stay focused, and feel excited about their work. With your donation, we are able to print colorful worksheets, anchor charts, and activities that bring lessons to life. Whether it's highlighting sight words, organizing math strategies, or creating vibrant reading materials, colored ink helps our students better see, understand, and remember what they are learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity also allows us to create more personalized and engaging materials. Students are much more motivated to complete work that is visually appealing and easy to follow, and your contribution helps make that possible every single day.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your donation helps us build a warm and welcoming classroom environment. From colorful newsletters sent home to families, to bright certificates celebrating student achievements, colored ink helps us recognize and encourage our students in meaningful ways. These small touches go a long way in building confidence and a love for learning.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support shows our students that there are people who care about their education and believe in their success. Even at a young age, they can feel the impact of kindness and generosity. This exciting and challenging project coincided with Nevada Reading Week. Students were excited to see over 50 \"Who Was...\" books from the popular series to choose from. Once they selected a nonfiction book about a positively inspiring person, they read the books and began their research. Students displayed their research on trifold boards using photos, timelines, acrostic poems, major events, early years, and quotes. The kids were so proud of their boards and hard work. They had the most fun writing the one minute speech as their chosen person and practicing their wax figure poses. The day of the museum we had 5 classes and over 50 parents come to press the buttons and bring the wax figures to life.
