My students are an incredible group of energetic, expressive, interested fourth graders. They are excited about coming to school because they know they are important. My class is the inclusion classroom, and the students work hard to make sure everyone feels valued and appreciated. School is often a welcome adventure for the kids in my class. They are hungry for knowledge and truly believe they can accomplish anything here. It is important that the students in my room enjoy coming to school. I work hard to create a comfortable, safe, inviting place for them to want to be in and then I can push them to new heights in their learning. I strongly believe in meeting each child where they are and moving them from there. A huge part of making this environment work is allowing students the opportunity to move and keeping them busy in meaningful ways. I love teaching and I am honored to teach these young people every day.
