Students use them during Lunch Bunch, small counseling groups, classroom lessons, and individual counseling sessions. One of my favorite moments happened during Lunch Bunch when a group of students naturally began taking turns, working together, and encouraging one another while using the new materials. What looked like simple play quickly became opportunities to practice communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and building friendships. It was wonderful to watch students who are usually quiet or hesitant begin interacting with peers and feeling like they truly belonged.\r\n\r\nThe excitement when the materials first arrived was unforgettable. Students immediately noticed the new additions to the counseling room and couldn't wait to explore them. They were eager to ask questions, try everything out, and invite classmates to join them. The fresh, welcoming environment helped students see the counseling office as a place where they are valued, supported, and excited to spend time.\r\n\r\nAs we move into the school year, these resources will continue to support social-emotional learning through classroom lessons, small groups, and individual counseling. Students will practice skills such as emotional regulation, teamwork, empathy, conflict resolution, and healthy communication in ways that feel engaging and meaningful. My goal is to continue creating a calm, welcoming environment where every child feels safe to take risks, build relationships, and develop the confidence they need to be successful both in school and beyond.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students.
