My students are coming into school with less social skills and interactions. They are struggling with having conversations and how to use materials that support their early literacy. Unfortunately our way of thinking is technology is supporting learning, but the consequence of this is limiting our children to manipulating materials, such as tile letters to know letters and how to manipulate letters to make words. Lego's help build fine motor skills to write and encourage students to be independent thinkers. I have asked for materials such as the story time board so students can get creative and tell stories. Technology leads step by step activities and there is limited opportunities for our students to get creative.
