Having access to snacks such as granola bars, fruit snacks, and cereal cups has helped my students tremendously. I let my students know that they can have a snack when they need a pick-me-up, but that it can't be an every day thing. Students haven't taken advantage of this privilege, but they aren't afraid to ask for something if they need it. For student-athletes staying after school and students who may have food insecurities, they have been grateful to have access to snacks when they need them.\r\n\r\nIt might not seem like much, but having access to these items in class truly does make all of the difference for students.
