We are requesting new books for our classroom library. These books will contribute to the print rich environment available in my classroom. My goal is to create a library that my students enjoy and can use as a safe place. All of these books have been picked with my students' interests on the forefront. I have personally asked what type of books they will enjoy reading and these titles were included in some of the responses. New books will actually give my students a choice. My students deserve access to books that are actually interesting to them. They deserve books that will foster their independent reading and motivate them to want to read more. My students will only improve and develop reading skills if they are given access to books to be able to do so. These books will help my students to grow stronger in reading. This project will ultimately give my students access to good books and motivate them to read independently.
