We are thrilled to share our vision with you. In the spirit of transparency, our official club launches in late October. Therefore, the insights we provide here are not yet based on student outcomes, but our plans to capture its impact. We are building a framework for success, and we are confident in the transformative potential of this initiative for our students.\r\n\r\nWhile we believe every student can benefit, this program is intentionally designed to engage specific types of learners who might not always shine in a traditional classroom:\r\n\r\nThe Reluctant Reader: For a student who finds traditional novels unengaging, reading a rulebook to gain a tactical advantage in a game is a powerful motivator. The text becomes a key to unlocking fun and social capital.\r\n\r\nThe Quiet or Socially Anxious Student: The program provides a structured social context. They can communicate through their character, using it as a proxy to practice voice and agency in a safe, fictional space. We anticipate these students will find a powerful platform for self-expression.\r\n\r\nThe Creative Storyteller: Students who love to write, draw, or imagine will find an unlimited canvas. Their enjoyment will come from building elaborate backstories, designing their character's appearance, and influencing the narrative direction.","fullyFundedDate":1747786839921,"projectUrl":"project/dungeons-dragons-club-for-middle-schoo/9368863/","projectTitle":"Dungeons & Dragons Club for Middle Schoolers!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Maurer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10030819_orig.jpg?crop=177,177,x0,y9&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747750092701","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10030819"},{"teacherId":9116953,"projectId":9482646,"letterContent":"Thank you for your contribution to our science classroom. My students were very appreciative and so am I. Right now we are really appreciative of the ice packs, as our nurse's office has run out and the students are active players that sometimes get hurt. Having the ice packs in my classroom eliminates the students from leaving the classroom for one and it also helps that we are low/out of ice packs in the nurse's office.\r\n\r\nAnother big help has been the sanitary napkins for the female students in my class. Having access to this is so helpful for students during the day, and the cute little zip up bags are a great disguise for the napkins. Girls just come in and grab a prepackaged bag and when they come back they just put it back in the drawer so that I can replace what they used and someone else can have access to it. This along with the bandaids really helps the classroom learning environment because students are running to the nurse for these items and can go about their day.","fullyFundedDate":1733282626913,"projectUrl":"project/staying-clean-and-organized/8594353/","projectTitle":"Staying Clean and Organized!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sierra","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6208795_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690210616310","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6208795"},{"teacherId":5642914,"projectId":8484168,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations that helped us provide not only good food, but life skills lessons to the students in our class!
