The books provided through this project will allow my students the opportunity to access additional novels that explore the power of personal connections. In doing so, students will foster their own connections and love for reading, themselves and others. Additionally, both novels will provide another vehicle to teach literary terms, figurative language, and analysis. Writing assignments implemented with each novel will improve writing skills and increase students' exposure to additional genres. Lastly, but most importantly, by including high interest novels I am hoping to engage all students through assignments, conversations and real-world scenarios. I want students to love reading!

About my class
