Your kindness and support mean so much to our students and to me as their teacher.\r\n\r\nBecause of your thoughtful contribution, our classroom now has new tools that make learning more fun, creative, and engaging. The Legos help students build and explore their imaginations, the writing boards allow them to practice their skills with confidence, and the number charts give them helpful visual support as they learn important math concepts.\r\n\r\nYour generosity helps create a positive learning environment where students feel excited to participate, explore new ideas, and grow every day. These materials will be used often and will make a meaningful difference in the way our students learn.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our entire class, thank you for investing in our students and helping make learning both enjoyable and inspiring.","fullyFundedDate":1768768916467,"projectUrl":"project/building-creativity-and-brains/10039795/","projectTitle":"Building Creativity and Brains","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Figgins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9590008_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y69&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721314140671","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9590008"},{"teacherId":9908086,"projectId":9865947,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our Winter Novel Study! Because of your generosity, our class received copies of \"Mr. Popper's Penguins\" along with flexible seating chairs that have made our classroom an even more engaging place to learn.\r\n\r\nReading looks a little different in our classroom than it might have when many of you were in school. Instead of just reading quietly, we read together, stop to think deeply, and talk about the story. While reading \"Mr. Popper's Penguins\", students practiced important skills like making predictions, visualizing scenes, identifying character traits, and understanding how characters change throughout a story. We also discussed humor in literature and how authors use details and dialogue to make stories come alive.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating chairs have made a big difference during reading time. Students can choose comfortable spots that help them focus, which allows them to stay engaged longer during our novel study discussions and independent reading. It has helped create a cozy, book-loving atmosphere in our classroom.\r\n\r\nMany students who were hesitant readers at the beginning of the year are now excited to dive into each new chapter. One student in particular eagerly volunteers to read aloud every day because he loves trying to use funny voices for the penguins! Another student has started bringing the book to recess so she can read ahead and find out what happens next.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped turn reading into an adventure for our class. These books and flexible seating options have created a space where students feel comfortable, excited, and curious about stories. They are using the seat sacks on the backs of their chairs to store folders, workbooks, clipboards, snack bags, and supply boxes. They need these because we have tables with no storage like individual desks do. They work very hard writing with pencils and thoroughly enjoy being able to create pictures and color them with the markers and crayons.
