The easel and magnetic math manipulatives have already made a meaningful difference in the way I am able to teach my students.\r\n\r\nMy first graders are eager learners, and we spend a great deal of time together on the rug during whole-group lessons, demonstrations, and math instruction. Having a sturdy easel that can be moved around the classroom and adjusted to different angles has made it much easier for every student to see what I am modeling. Instead of students trying to lean or move around to get a better view, they can focus their attention on the lesson and participate more fully.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic math manipulatives have also been especially valuable. I can now model mathematical concepts in a large, visual way that students can easily follow. I am able to use them during whole-group lessons and then bring the same materials into small-group instruction for students who need additional practice and support. This has allowed me to make abstract math concepts more concrete and give my students opportunities to see, discuss, and manipulate math rather than simply hearing an explanation.\r\n\r\nBecause of these materials, I have been able to create more interactive and accessible math lessons while giving my students the visual support they need to be successful. Something as simple as being able to clearly see the math being modeled has made a big difference for my young learners.","fullyFundedDate":1768181183601,"projectUrl":"project/easy-does-it/10005180/","projectTitle":"Easy Does It!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Weiss","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp504655_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1512528814220","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mgallegos"},{"teacherId":2364924,"projectId":9058598,"letterContent":"Your donations helped us have a successful run with our STEM projects, specifically our paper roller coasters!
