This resource will help gain books for our classroom for Read Aloud and differentiated small groups. The goal of this project is to increase the students' overall literacy experience and engage them in writing across curriculum using variety of tools. The resources will promote the following NVACS standards: RL.2.10 By the end of the year, read and comprehend literature, including stories and poetry, in the grades 2-3 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the high end of the range. W 2. 1 Write arguments to support claims in an analysis of substantive topics or texts, using valid reasoning and relevant and sufficient evidence. W.2.3 Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.
