This simple addition has made a big difference in how we use and care for our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe drying rack has also allowed multiple classes to work on projects during the same time period without running out of drying space. Students can keep their artwork organized, and our tables and floors stay clear for creating and moving around the room. Cleanup and transitions between classes run more smoothly, giving us more time to focus on making art. It has truly improved the flow and atmosphere of our classroom!\r\n\r\nAs we begin new painting and mixed-media projects, students will continue practicing how to care for their materials and artwork from start to finish. Having a reliable place for projects to dry gives us more freedom to take on creative, messy, and exciting lessons. These projects have given students opportunities to express their personalities while exploring how color, line, and shading can transform their artwork.\r\n\r\nHaving these materials available allows students to bring their ideas to life. In their Tim Burton–inspired portraits, they used expressive features and imaginative details to create unique characters. Our op art and 3D name projects challenged them to make flat drawings appear to move or pop off the page! The markers have supported both creative exploration and practice with careful coloring, contrast, and detail.\r\n\r\nAs we continue creating, students will build on these skills by exploring new color combinations and ways to create depth and dimension. Students come in to class retrieve their materials and put their chrome books in their mailboxes. The extra storage space helps them easily manage this routine and helps them learn that they do not need technology at all times.\r\nAgain, thank you for your support.
