Because of you, my students walked into our classroom with excitement, curiosity, and a renewed motivation to learn. Your support made an immediate and meaningful impact, and I am truly grateful for your investment in our students' education.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, students were eager to explore them and couldn't wait to put them to use. For many of my students, having new, high-quality materials made them feel valued and confident. It sent a powerful message that their learning matters and that there are people beyond our classroom who believe in their potential. That sense of encouragement has carried into our daily instruction and classroom culture.\r\n\r\nThe resources you provided have been especially impactful during our reading block. Students are using the supplies daily to support reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and written responses to text. These tools allow students to actively engage with what they read rather than passively consuming information. As a result, students are more focused, more willing to take academic risks, and more confident in sharing their thinking.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the supplies, I have already seen growth in student reading stamina and comprehension skills. Students are spending more time reading independently, annotating texts, and responding thoughtfully to questions. Many students who previously struggled with confidence are now participating more during discussions and demonstrating a stronger understanding of grade-level texts. These gains may seem small, but they are powerful steps toward long-term academic success.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your generosity has positively influenced our classroom environment. The supplies have helped create a space where students feel organized, supported, and ready to learn. This has improved classroom routines, reduced distractions, and allowed us to maximize instructional time. A well-equipped classroom empowers students to take ownership of their learning and encourages responsibility and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nThank you for choosing to support my classroom and for believing in the potential of my 5th graders. Your kindness has made a lasting difference in their learning experience and has helped set them on a path toward increased reading levels and academic confidence. On behalf of my students and myself, thank you for your generosity, encouragement, and commitment to education.","fullyFundedDate":1746786442006,"projectUrl":"project/reading-jackpot-help-us-hit-the-literac/9315788/","projectTitle":"Reading Jackpot: Help Us Hit the Literacy Prize!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ayers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9349374_orig.jpg?crop=2591,2591,x0,y293&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721165279308","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9349374"},{"teacherId":5878810,"projectId":9691792,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation. They've been creating projects with the new materials to help them better understand and apply what we're learning in class. For example, instead of simply reading about concepts, they've been able to build, design, and work collaboratively, which has sparked more curiosity and creativity in our lessons. These projects have not only deepened their understanding but have also made the classroom a place where learning feels fun and meaningful.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they instantly fell in love with them. Their eyes lit up with excitement, and the room was filled with energy as they couldn't wait to explore and get started. It was such a special moment to see how much joy and motivation these resources brought to them. The materials turned what could have been an ordinary day into one that felt full of possibilities and discovery.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps are to continue building on this excitement as we move into new lessons and projects. Since we've transitioned to a new grade level, the goal is not only to become amazing students academically but also to grow as kind, respectful, and responsible individuals. With these resources, students are gaining the tools to collaborate, problem-solve, and express themselves, all while learning how to be good people alongside being strong learners. Your donations made a huge difference in our classroom as pertaining to comfort, projects, daily work and snack time. Without you, they would not know that people believe in them enough to invest in their future.\r\n\r\n Students are using the dry erase boards daily, along with the Expo markers that were donated. We were able to practice spelling and self regulation, simultaneously. We have been focusing on removing the need for students to raise their hands at our school. This has been easier to achieve because each student has tools to answer questions. It allows students to demonstrate their knowledge, without being left out. Also, they have been encouraged to communicate via dry erase boards to alleviate disrupting my lessons. I cannot express the improvements that I have seen in my students' spelling and handwriting.\r\n\r\n My students were able to enjoy the snack boxes that were purchased with the donation that you made to us. I was able to make sure that children who had missed breakfast, were able to eat in the mornings because your gift purchased a variety snacks for them. They benefited from the paper, and wobble stools as well. \r\n\r\nI have students who are fidgety.
