Flexible seating allows students to be more responsible for their independent work. They choose the location in the classroom that works for them. In the classroom my students are choosing many different locations in the classroom such as: under the table using their clipboards, laying on the floor with their clipboards, in the library area using their clipboards, and in a quiet corner with their clipboards. I'm requesting Learniture Soft Seating Stools and Glow Stools for flexible seating choices. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed how engaged and motivated their are to complete their work in the classroom from flexible seating.
