The skateboards, safety gear, and practice equipment have allowed students of all skill levels to participate safely and successfully. One of the most exciting moments was watching students who were once too nervous to step on a skateboard begin practicing balance drills and cheering each other on as they learned their first tricks. The new resources have also helped us create structured skill stations where students work together on teamwork, perseverance, and goal setting.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new equipment, they were beyond excited. Many could not believe they finally had access to quality skate gear and safety equipment they could use regularly. Students immediately began asking questions, trying on helmets and pads, and encouraging their friends to join the club. The excitement and sense of pride they felt created an instant boost in participation and enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue developing students' skating skills while also focusing on leadership and community building. Students are currently working toward mastering beginner and intermediate techniques, and we hope to organize small demonstrations and peer mentoring opportunities where experienced skaters help newer members. Students immediately began brainstorming ideas and testing designs, and one of our very first classroom projects was printing custom Drone Pilot keychains connected to our Drone Technology Unit. Many gathered around as the first prints began, asking questions about how the machines worked and eagerly waiting to see the final products come off the print beds.
