Our Middle School in City Heights is in what's called the most diverse neighborhood in the nation. It's home to immigrants and refugees, living together and working tirelessly. However, language, economic, and education barriers make it a challenge. A student couldn't read a teacher-inscribed cursive message. Many students don't know basic first aid, how to replace a button, play chess, type accurately, or numerous other things. But they all desperately want to learn. My Life Skills elective class aims to teach them critical (and fun!) life skills. Please help!
