The chair pockets will give each student a special place to keep their books, notebooks, and classroom materials, helping them stay organized and ready to learn. The pencils will ensure that every student has the supplies they need, and the new books will add even more choice and excitement to our classroom library. I can already imagine students walking into the classroom, noticing the new materials, exploring the books, and excitedly choosing their first book to read.\r\n\r\nOne of the things I look forward to most is seeing students discover a book that captures their interest. During the first few days of school, students will have opportunities to explore our classroom library, browse the new books, and choose books that match their interests and reading levels. My hope is that those first moments of excitement will grow into a year filled with reading, sharing favorite books with classmates, and discovering authors and stories they may not have encountered before. The organization provided by the chair pockets and the availability of classroom supplies will also help us establish routines that allow students to focus more of their energy on learning.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful to the donors who made this project possible. Although my students haven't met me yet, their generosity is already helping me prepare a welcoming, organized classroom where every child will have the tools they need and plenty of opportunities to find books they love. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping to fund our project to bring new materials to our classroom. With your support, we were able to get magnetic Expo marker holders and magnetic erasers for our vertical whiteboards. We were also able to get presharpened pencils and a book binding machine. \r\n\r\nThese materials will be game-changers for our daily routines. We plan to begin use of the vertical whiteboards during our math rotations, and then incorporate them into collaborative reading and writing activities. My students are excited to use our vertical whiteboards, but we needed these items to help organize our tools. Research shows that standing and working on vertical surfaces encourages risk-taking and deeper collaboration. With these supplies, students can jump right into problem solving without delay.\r\n\r\nMy students will have the tools they need to share their ideas and strategies, feel empowered, and take ownership of their learning.
