By utilizing professional-grade video equipment, students have engaged in authentic, project-based learning that sharpens their technical literacy and verbal communication skills far beyond traditional classroom activities. \r\nThe process of producing school-wide news reports requires high-level collaboration and critical thinking, as students must synthesize complex school events into cohesive narratives. The students have been successful in doing this in both their native language and their second language. Furthermore, the integration of multicultural environmental design—such as visual displays that celebrate dual-language identities—has created a psychologically safe and inclusive atmosphere. This sense of belonging is a critical prerequisite for academic engagement, as it has empowered our students to take creative risks and view themselves as capable leaders and advocates within their community.","fullyFundedDate":1764417755199,"projectUrl":"project/cultural-connection/9771154/","projectTitle":"Cultural Connection","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mendez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2432798_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1500867511406","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/keyla-mendez"},{"teacherId":10173875,"projectId":9585222,"letterContent":"Students were so excited to receive the items from our list and they pointed out how generous you were. \r\n\r\nI had teams of students work in teams as systems engineers to unpack and and put items together by directions (except for the printer).
