I teach a wonderful group of 1st graders. These children attend a mid-size public school in a large urban district. Most of my students are bilingual and all of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch. My students are also designated as gifted and talented. These bright and enthusiastic children have many unique needs, challenges, and interests. To help these children reach their full potential I need to be innovative and creative in my instruction. These students require many adaptations and additions to the regular classroom curriculum in order to keep them challenged and fully engaged. I love my students! It is a joy and a privilege to work with such excited and bright children on a daily basis.
