Students are now going to be able to be organized and find their materials with ease. \r\n\r\nThis year we have so many kids in our classroom that we don't even have enough cubbies for every student. These colorful containers and seat sacks will be invaluable so that every child feels welcome and a part of the classroom. The vibrant colors also bring some needed color to a classroom. Each morning when the kids enter the classroom it is bright and cheerful which also helps with them starting the day on a good note. \r\n\r\nThis will be my last Donor's Choose project since I am retire this year. Students are now going to be able to read books that emphasize the area of study that our FOSS science program focuses on, especially in our focus areas of environment, landforms and erosion and energy.\r\n\r\nWe have had the FOSS curriculum for quite a few years, but we are always looking for ways to enhance and embellish the units of study. Now that I have a new set of literature books, I can incorporate some of our reading standards into our science instruction. Therefore, additional and supplemental books and materials were never gathered for these units.\r\n\r\nNow with the funding of my project, Units 7-10 are more than well supplemented with picture books that will engage the students and give them additional information and insight into the topics that we will be studying. Students will be excited to read picture books on A Developing Nations, (Unit 7), How our Earth Changes (Unit 8), Earth's Resources and the Impact (Unit 9), and The Power of Electricity (Unit 10).\r\n\r\nAll of my students and I are especially grateful for the generous donations to our Book Extravaganza project.","fullyFundedDate":1737588810122,"projectUrl":"project/sensational-books-for-our-sizzling-scien/8849630/","projectTitle":"Sensational Books for our Sizzling Science Studies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Farrow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3983032_orig.jpg?crop=471,471,x0,y101&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1575860083045","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3983032"},{"teacherId":4373027,"projectId":8968013,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping get our project funded! An additional kit means that we can have smaller groups of students. Each student gets more time to build and code! The students have had so much fun building all types of robots. Several groups made vehicle type robots. One group made a grabbing robot and another group made a whole structure that had lots of spinning parts. One group is working on coding a robot to follow colored lines to complete a path. The kits have helped the students to have many great experiences building and coding.
