Recently I purchased a class set of used computers with my own money. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to do this with all of the supplies and materials that my classroom is in need of. We have been working through Google classroom to increase students knowledge and ability with using technology and currently we only have enough headphones for about half of the class and even those are in horrible shape. The headphones with mic sets I am asking for will be beneficial to my push for STEAM education in the classroom. With these headphones students will have a multitude of techniques and uses to better help them navigate this world. Students will use these in conjunction with Reflex math which is a fluency based mathematics facts computer program and will be able to narrate their stories they are writing and creating on the website Story Bird. Some other aspects include reading support for ELL learners and students in Special Education giving them the ability to listen to high level text without the struggle of reading getting in the way. These headphones could have a huge impact on the students at my school by allowing them more freedom in their learning and choices on how they can show their learning.
