In our K–2 special education program, most of my students are nonverbal and have autism or developmental delays, so having the right physical supports makes an enormous difference in how they learn, communicate, and feel in our space.\r\n\r\nThe cube chairs have already transformed our circle time routine. Each student now has an assigned seat, which gives them a clear, predictable place to sit—something that brings comfort and structure to many of my learners. The chairs also double as small tables, allowing us to position AAC devices, visuals, or work materials right in front of students at the perfect height. This simple change has increased engagement, reduced wandering, and helped several students participate more confidently.\r\n\r\nThe standing desk has been a game‑changer for students who need movement to stay regulated and focused. Because it's adjustable, students can stand, shift, and work at the height that feels best for their bodies. We were working on writing stories, and one student who often gets distracted put on the noise-canceling earmuffs, set the timer, and did their work! My advisory class is mostly multi-language learners, and of many different languages, so teaching is tough. But on days when we have less to do, I pull out the games, and they have such a good time.
