I teach in a multicultural, multiethnic classroom in a large urban school district that within 640 students embraces 5 special education programs and 36 different languages. Our students are mainstreamed with support but frequently lack the skills to communicate their thoughts and feelings across language barriers and special need populations. I am eager to provide books that will give them the tools to self-regulate their emotions through the use of story and pictures.
