My children are coming into my kindergarten classroom from diverse backgrounds that make ourclassroom learning environment an exciting place to be begin their educational journey. While some children are learning to speak English, others are on the verge of reading and really want to read by themselves. The children all love the idea of being able to work together on such things as building with blocks or puzzles, counting and measuring while on a rug after completing their entry task. This not only gives the children something fun to do while waiting on their peers to finish their work, but it helps build up a sense of community while building and strengthening newly formed friendships.
