I teach kindergarten in a high need newly formed K-8 school that is struggling to provide the basic resources for a diverse population of 36 languages alongside an all inclusion autism special education program. I would like to provide more for my young kindergarteners, especially for those students who are just learning English for the first time. It is essential that these young learners listen to stories over and over again, but our school lacks both the equipment and the stories on Cd's! With a multicultural school population, many of our students lack the opportunity to listen to stories in English at home. Hearing stories on Cd's at school would allow for opportunities that just do not happen in my multicultural, multiethnic students' homes!
