Your generosity has had a meaningful and lasting impact on my students and our learning environment.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I was able to provide resources and materials that would not have been possible otherwise. These donations helped create a more engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom—one where students feel motivated, prepared, and excited to learn. From essential supplies to enrichment materials, each contribution directly enhanced daily instruction and allowed me to better meet the diverse needs of my students.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your kindness showed my students that there are people beyond our classroom who believe in them and care about their success. That message alone is incredibly powerful and inspiring.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in education and for helping make our classroom a place where students can grow, explore, and thrive. Your support truly made a difference, and we are deeply appreciative.","fullyFundedDate":1698958764685,"projectUrl":"project/need-supplies-for-classroom/7989995/","projectTitle":"Need Supplies for Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Treat","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9349485"},{"teacherId":3985354,"projectId":9767374,"letterContent":"We are using the TickiT Ultra Bright LED Light Panel daily during center time to explore light, color, and shapes in hands-on ways. Students build with translucent blocks, arrange colorful shapes, and experiment with prisms to see how light passes through and changes color. One particularly meaningful moment was watching a group of students notice that overlapping shapes created new colors. They eagerly tested different combinations and shared their findings with classmates, building collaboration, problem-solving skills, and rich conversations rooted in curiosity.\r\n\r\nWhen students first encountered the light panel, their reactions were full of wonder and excitement. The glowing surface immediately captured their attention, and students were drawn in to touch, explore, and ask thoughtful questions. Many students who are typically more reserved became more confident as they experimented, while others enjoyed the calming effect of the adjustable brightness. The light panel has supported a wide range of learners, creating an inclusive space where every child can participate at their own pace.\r\n\r\nThanks to the generosity of donors through DonorsChoose, our next steps include integrating the light panel more intentionally across science, math, and art lessons. Students will continue experimenting with color mixing, sorting and comparing shapes, and observing how light behaves with different materials. These ongoing experiences are strengthening early STEM skills such as observation, prediction, and understanding cause and effect; all while learning through joyful, play-based exploration. Your support has truly illuminated learning in our classroom and given students exciting opportunities to see themselves as curious thinkers and capable problem-solvers.","fullyFundedDate":1764741373126,"projectUrl":"project/let-there-be-light-and-learning-earl/9767374/","projectTitle":"Let There Be Light (and Learning!): Early Stem Exploration","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Angel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3985354_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1476046220028","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3985354"},{"teacherId":3985354,"projectId":9702269,"letterContent":"Since introducing the new materials into our Pre-K classroom, students have been eagerly engaging in hands-on exploration each day. Mini magnetic tiles and colorful translucent shapes have become a favorite at the light table, where students design patterns, build structures, and experiment with balance and symmetry. One standout moment was watching a group of students work together to adjust their designs when a structure toppled, problem-solving and encouraging one another until they found a solution. These playful moments are building early STEM skills like geometry, spatial awareness, and cause-and-effect without students even realizing they're learning.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the pinwheels and construction bricks, their excitement was immediate. They were eager to test how movement made pinwheels spin. Students proudly shared their creations and invited classmates to join in, creating natural opportunities for collaboration and communication. Even students who are typically more reserved were motivated to participate, finding confidence through building and shared discovery.\r\n\r\nThanks to the support of our donors, including Ripple, this project has had a meaningful impact on student learning. Students are now able to explore STEM concepts through open-ended, play-based experiences that deepen understanding and sustain engagement. The materials provided allowed me to expand hands-on learning centers, differentiate instruction, and intentionally teach skills like cooperation, perseverance, and creative problem-solving in ways that feel joyful and accessible to young learners. Because of Ripple's generosity, my students are learning that their ideas matter and that they are capable builders, thinkers, and innovators. We've been able to connect it directly to our schoolwide expectations of being respectful, responsible, and safe. For example, one of my students worked hard all week to show responsibility by completing assignments on time and was thrilled to \"shop\" for a prize he had been saving up for. The store has given students a concrete way to see how their positive choices make a difference.\r\n\r\nWhen the store first opened, the reactions were priceless. Students' faces lit up, and there was a buzz of excitement as they browsed the shelves. Many commented that it \"felt like a real store,\" which made the experience even more special. The reward store has quickly become a highlight of their week and an extra motivator to practice respect, responsibility, and safety in the classroom and beyond.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're using the store to support goal-setting and decision-making. Students are learning how to track their progress, save points, and make thoughtful choices about when to spend or save.
