The students were super excited to have more materials for their projects to use. We were working on our Biography Fair on famous people and were able to use the double stick poster tape, paper cutters and the Cardstock paper. We will be using those materials again in June with our How to Procedural Fair in May and June. We are labeling our posters, game bins and other items with our classroom labeler. The magnetic holders are being used for math and science. We will be using the colored bins soon for science projects. I really like doing certain activities such as students making their own cars and testing them out to figure out data on races and how to make their cars better. I also think it's important to make math fun and into games or centers, which I'm doing with the whiteboards. Also, some students are struggling with fractions so I found these great wipe off boards with hands-on materials for students to do in small group. The dividers are very helpful so kids can work independently. It's really nice having the journals so that each child has one. Also the work dividers are helpful when kids have a hard time working independently and try to copy others. The kids really loved having ring pops for treats and surprises. I don't give treats out often, but having the ring pops it's a nice surprise for when they've earned something for working so academically hard. Right away the students were excited to get the new games and put them in the new game containers, so that they could play them.
