Ten frames are something in the hands of our students in multiple grade levels on a daily basis. These too hold up well short term, but after repeated uses, usually need to be replaced. Our new plastic ten frames are AMAZING! They are so much more durable then what we had previously. Your support has had a profound impact on our students and their ability to bring their creative ideas to life. With the motors you provided, our teams were able to add dynamic, moving pieces to their projects, enhancing both their learning experience and the final outcomes of their work.\r\n\r\nThe motors allowed our students to take their projects to the next level, pushing the boundaries of what they thought was possible. Rather than simply constructing static models, they were able to integrate moving components, which not only brought their designs to life but also deepened their understanding of engineering, coding, and problem-solving. By incorporating motors into their creations, students gained hands-on experience in both mechanical design and the principles of motion, giving them the opportunity to apply what they had learned in a real-world context.\r\n\r\nThis experience was incredibly enriching for the students, as it provided them with the chance to experiment and innovate. They were able to see the immediate effects of their work—watching gears spin, wheels turn, and parts move—was incredibly motivating. These \"aha\" moments sparked a sense of excitement and accomplishment, making their learning more tangible and engaging. The motors transformed their projects from simple concepts into functional, interactive pieces, making the learning process both fun and deeply educational.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the ability to incorporate moving parts into their projects taught the students valuable lessons about perseverance, trial and error, and collaboration. As they worked together to figure out how to best integrate the motors with their designs, they were forced to think critically and creatively to overcome obstacles. This was a wonderful opportunity for them to develop teamwork skills, as they had to communicate and problem-solve as a group, refining their designs and solutions to ensure everything worked properly.\r\n\r\nYour donation not only provided the motors but also offered the students an invaluable opportunity to experience the power of coding in a tangible way. They were able to write code that directly controlled the motors, which made the learning process more interactive and relevant. By using the motors as part of their projects, students could immediately see how coding influences the physical world around them—fostering a deeper understanding of the relationship between hardware and software.\r\n\r\nBecause of your contribution, the teams were able to expand the scope of their projects, creating more complex and creative designs than originally planned. Your donation helped foster a greater sense of ownership and pride in their work, knowing that they had the tools necessary to turn their ideas into reality. This experience has not only expanded their knowledge but has also ignited a passion for engineering, coding, and innovation that will stay with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nOnce again, we are deeply grateful for your support. The motors you provided have made a lasting impact on our students, allowing them to develop new skills, challenge their abilities, and build confidence in their creative talents. We cannot thank you enough for making this possible and for investing in their futures.","fullyFundedDate":1742223937621,"projectUrl":"project/coding-motors/9175291/","projectTitle":"Coding Motors","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3397709_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1453057822285","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/huntersmith"},{"teacherId":3397709,"projectId":9180430,"letterContent":"On behalf of all the students and staff involved in Poster Ahoy, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation. Your support made a significant difference in the success of our event, and we are truly appreciative of your commitment to fostering creativity and learning among students.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contribution, our students had the incredible opportunity to showcase everything they've learned throughout the year by creating posters that highlighted their individual projects. These posters not only served as a platform for sharing their knowledge, but they also allowed them to creatively express what they've been working on in an engaging and visually compelling way. The students were so excited to display their work and explain their learning to their peers, teachers, and judges.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable aspects of the event was the button trading activity. The students were thrilled to exchange buttons with other teams, each representing a unique idea or theme. This tradition fostered a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among the students, encouraging them to connect with their peers, learn from one another, and celebrate each other's achievements. It was an exciting and meaningful way to build lasting memories from the event.\r\n\r\nYour donation helped make this all possible. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide materials, supplies, and support for the students, enabling them to fully participate in this educational and fun experience. The event allowed them not only to demonstrate what they have learned but also to develop important skills such as public speaking, teamwork, and presentation.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your belief in the power of education and creativity. Your support ensures that programs like Poster Ahoy can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of students. The memories created and the skills gained during this event will stay with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your generous donation and for being a valued partner in the education and growth of our students.
