Because of you, our theatre classroom has been transformed into a space where creativity, collaboration, and confidence truly come to life.\r\n\r\nWhat makes this experience so special is not just the performance you've helped bring to the stage, but the journey behind it. Every set piece carefully measured, every prop thoughtfully constructed, and every brushstroke applied with intention represents hours of student dedication. Your contributions provided the tools that made this possible—tools that empowered students to work safely, precisely, and with a sense of pride in their craft.\r\n\r\nWith the tape measures, students learned the importance of planning and accuracy. With paint brushes and painter's tape, they explored artistic techniques that elevated the visual storytelling of our show. Drop cloths helped them take ownership of their workspace, while staples and hot glue allowed them to construct with efficiency and confidence. Safety equipment and proper cutting tools ensured that students could focus on creating while learning the value of professional standards and care.\r\n\r\nMore than anything, your support has given my students the freedom to create fearlessly. In our classroom, they are not just building sets—they are building teamwork, resilience, and real-world skills. They are learning how to problem-solve, communicate, and trust one another. They are discovering that their ideas matter and that they are capable of bringing something extraordinary into the world.\r\n\r\nAs you look at the photos from our production, please know that every detail you see is a direct result of your kindness. You are a part of every scene, every laugh, and every moment of pride these students feel as they take the stage.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students, for supporting arts education, and for helping us create something truly meaningful. Your impact will stay with these students long after the curtain falls.","fullyFundedDate":1771029159166,"projectUrl":"project/measure-build-create-hands-on-theatre/9979473/","projectTitle":"Measure, Build, Create: Hands-On Theatre Design for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lanson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp547354_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1449238658839","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lanson"},{"teacherId":10217813,"projectId":9794452,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution to Teen Wellness Club! We did an activity with the small journals called \"affirmation passports\". The students were able to decorate and then pass around the notebooks to their peers. Each student wrote some thing positive in another students journal and we passed them around until every one had a chance to encourage someone! Your generosity has already made a powerful impact in our classroom, and we are incredibly grateful for your belief in our students and their creativity.\r\n\r\nThis camera is doing far more than taking pictures—it is transforming how students learn. While many of our students are familiar with everyday technology like phones or tablets, learning to use a professional camera introduces them to intentional, hands-on problem-solving. Students are learning how composition, lighting, focus, and camera settings all work together to tell a story. They are applying artistic concepts in a tangible way, collaborating with one another, and gaining confidence as they see their ideas come to life through their own work.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the sense of ownership and professionalism this camera brings. Holding a real camera makes them feel like artists and storytellers, not just students completing an assignment. They are eager to experiment, to frame shots thoughtfully, and to capture moments that matter—from staged creative projects to documenting school events and performances. It has sparked curiosity, motivation, and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously more reserved have especially thrived with this new technology. Students who may not feel comfortable performing on stage or speaking in front of others have found a strong voice behind the camera. Photography has given them a way to contribute meaningfully, collaborate with peers, and showcase their talents in a way that feels authentic and empowering.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our students are learning to see the world through a new lens—both literally and figuratively. You have opened doors to creative expression, teamwork, and potential future opportunities in the arts. Thank you for investing in our classroom and in the confidence and growth of our students. Your generosity will continue to inspire them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1763411527048,"projectUrl":"project/through-our-lens-inspiring-young-photog/9588300/","projectTitle":"Through Our Lens: Inspiring Young Photographers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lanson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp547354_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1449238658839","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lanson"},{"teacherId":58892,"projectId":9581548,"letterContent":"We are just getting started with our UKULELE CLUB. Your kind and generous donation has made this possible for me to pull off. Everybody ought to play the ukulele. \r\n With twenty ukuleles we are ready to rock and roll. You should know that my intention is to have students learn chords and songs and the playing skills to make music and perform quickly and easily. Afterall, the ukulele is the simplest, most delightful stringed instrument on earth, and I have taught it to adults and children for many years now. As you can see in the photos I even have a giant ukulele mural installation---painted 20 years ago by a student---hanging on the wall in my office. Thank you, again.
