They are so excited when they see tools for helping them with their emotions.\r\n\r\nStudents are able to use these tools individually, when they are struggling with big feelings. The materials are spread out throughout the school so that they never have to go far to find a calm down corner. The breathing lamps/timers are especially helpful during these times.\r\n\r\nStudents are also able to practice calming skills in small groups. They love using the worry stones and bubble jars as we discuss mindful practices and times when they may need to use them.\r\n\r\nWhether individually or in a small group, my students love using tools in a calm down corner to regulate their emotions.
