My first graders are so excited to learn to read! They feel so proud of themselves when they are able to read a book by themselves. I would love for my students to have books that they can read on their own whether at home or in school. Readers are most engaged when they are able to choose their own books that they are able to read. To be able to select books, my students need to have a variety of leveled readers in our library. By having leveled reading books in our classroom library, my students will be able to grow in their reading ability and in their self-confidence as readers.
