Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the 9th grade we are seeing that students needs more scaffolded strategies to support their reading comprehension. For this reason I have decided to conduct more close reading activities to ensure that students are reading and understanding the text. By honing in on the main ideas, authors craft and themes represented in a literary and non-fiction work.

To prepare students to annotate I am asking for highlighters, post-its, and dry markers.

These supplies will enhance and give access to my students for a deeper understanding of the text. They can annotate in multiple colors for different ideas. They can flag important passages.

In addition, I am also asking for bulleting board materials to display student work.
