The Expert Panel Podcast Project will allow my students to take ownership of their learning in a creative and engaging way. The Blue Microphones will give students the opportunity to record different types of discussions such as debates, public service announcements, and book discussions. Instead of traditional presentations students will be able to practice, record and edit their final work. By participating in a podcast students are not only enriching their own learning, but also raising awareness on topics that are important to them, while simultaneously exploring classic text and shedding light on the various ethical issues those text may expose. In addition students learn to collaborate with others and they keep each other accountable for their individual and group tasks. By donating to our project you are fostering inquiry-based learning, which will ultimately help students build the critical thinking skills that they need to be successful not only in English, but also in other disciplines.
