Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are smart, active, enthusiastic, and amazing, They are a wonderful group of students who have special needs. These needs include Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Epilepsy. My students learn best by hands-on activities and technology. These methods of learning are less stressful and less overwhelming for them.

We are located in a low-income and high poverty county.

I teach students in a self-contained and multi-handicapped classroom. Each day with my students in an adventure and my students are always full of surprises.

My Project

This project will benefit greatly in our classroom. The new laminator will give me the opportunity to make different activities for my students to use. Having different hands-on activities will help my students remember learned knowledge and turn new knowledge into long term memories.

Every child can learn, it may not be on the same day, and it may take a little bit longer, but the child can learn.

Creating fun and engaging activities will help my students learn in a exciting and easy way. I really want to accommodate my students' wants and needs as much as possible. This project is for a laminating machine and paper trimmer. With these new tools, I can laminate picture schedules, games, picture cards, and more. These types of activities will last a whole lot longer if laminated.
